After training and working as a teacher for many years, Sue took time off to be a full time mother to Stephanie. During this time Sue was unwell and decided to try some complementary therapies to aid her recovery.
She met Heidi Ritz and gained an interest and love for a very simple but life changing therapy called High Touch Jin Shin, a gentle laying on of hands on specific acupressure points, in a pre determined pattern that allows the body to relax and take on its on innate sense to heal. Sue has since become a practitioner and is now an Instructor of this ancient therapy. Sue and Heidi still work together and have enjoyed a long friendship. Sue has also been over to the United States to study and work with the Founder of High Touch, Betsy Drayton.

Sue has also enjoyed many years of study and friendship with Jon Sandifer. Starting out with a very simple form of Astrology, called Nine Star Ki, allowing for in depth analysis of who you are, where you are and when to travel/move house/start projects, Nine Star Ki can give you the ability to make the fullest use of good energies within the year month and day. From this came an interest in Feng Shui, the ancient art of harmonising the energies of the environment around you.
Also through Jon, Sue discovered Tai Chi, the chinese art of “shadow boxing”. This gentle and relaxing way of healthy exercise has become a passion and Sue has been teaching Tai Chi since 2000. This passion led to 10 weeks of individual study in Tian Jin, China, where Sue learned from her mentor Li Li Xian. This in turn lead to a years study back here with Sue Woodd and Beko Kaygee and a deeper understanding of Chinese philosophy and Five Element Theory.
Sue lives with her husband of over 30 years Peter, who owns a successful Wood Burning Stove company, and has a daughter Stephanie who is currently living in Herefordshire. Weekends can sometimes find the three of them at Dressage competitions, Steph became a National Champion in 2008.
